Lookout Facebook, here we come!

Maxon Adventures is now on facebook. Keep an eye out for us as we will be listing our promotions and GIVEAWAYS on their as well as our blog page. There is sure to be some interesting stuff so look to us for some great articles, tricks and tips, how to's, and much more! We are excited to give you a more PERSONAL look into where our PASSION for the outdoors stems from. The best part about our new Facebook page is that we will now have the ability to interact with you personally and every day.

There are many ways that we will be using Facebook for our business. We will be sharing things with YOU on a weekly basis, keeping YOU updated with all of our latest deals, informing YOU about new trends in the hunting industry, and also asking YOU for YOUR feedback on things that we're doing as a business. We will be using this page to develop a closer relationship with YOU so we can do the best job possible to relieve the stresses of your every day executive decisions and guide you on your DREAM HUNT.

Liked the post and the title! Post was completed early, too. Content aligned with instructions for this week's blog. You shared engaging ideas for your Facebook page. Font color and use of capital letters were visually appealling. Facebook link was active. Nice work! The stacked photos at the end of the post (Facebook and then scenery) detracted from professional look because the photos are so different. Overall, well done. My instructor thoughts: Work on word selection: is there a better word to use than "things" will be doing for our business? (You used the wrong "their;" but avoid it all together by saying on our page instead of "on there.") 29/30

Bio

My name is Jordan Maxon. I was raised in the backwoods and waters of Northwestern Wisconsin. From a very young age I developed a deep passion for the outdoors, always fishing, hunting, or just being outside. I enjoyed connecting with people who shared my passion and helping them enjoy it to levels that they never thought they could. I come from a very close knit family full of hard working individuals and entrepreneurs. I am a Marketing Management major with hopes of starting my own business someday.

Our History

At Maxon Adventures we combine our passion for the outdoors with tradition. Maxon Adventures began on a much smaller scale back in 1951. It originated when my grandfather began organizing hunting trips for his father and friends because he was too busy running a business of his own. In the early stages he did it because they all shared the passion until word of mouth began booming. Suddenly more and more people were asking for him to organize these trips for him, offering to pay him for his time. This was the single most monumental moment in the history of Maxon Adventures. In 1957 he started organizing hunting trips as a full fledged business. He gave it the name Maxon Hunts, this was fitting at that time because he only organized hunting trips but soon enough that would change. In 1968 business began to slow down, almost driving my grandfather to look for other employment. In 1973 after watching my grandfather struggle, my father suggested to incorporate fishing into the mix. After adding fishing into the concept, business began to soar again, landing the business in my father's hands in 1982. My father took the business to a whole new level, making connections around the nation to offer more of a variety. This only brought in more business, so when the business was turned over to me in 2011 I turned the company global.
