Virtual Experience!

This past week we explored the world of virtual reality. We found some new ways to reach out to our followers. With the technologies provided in today's society, it is important to make sure that we hit every aspect of the market. Some ways that you can advertise your business through virtual worlds is applying billboards and other types of advertisements throughout the virtual platform that you select. At Maxon Adventures we looked into Second Life. Second Life allows you to create an avatar of any kind and interact with other members in ways that you would in real life. You have a job, earn money, go on dates, and many other things. We would put our name on billboards throughout the game, offer virtual vacations to members on the site, and things like that. We would also have a business headquarters where you would be able to go as an avatar in the game to learn more about our business. At our headquarters you would be able to view pictures from successful hunts, read about our services and location options, and we would also have a link to all of out other social media outlets. Having these icon links would allow any member to quickly navigate to any of our pages right from Second Life. To encourage our clients to join us in Second Life, we are offering 25% off your next booking to the first 5 people who join and contact us on Second Life. Great posting, not too long not too short. I liked how you colored in key words as well. Second life was introduced and explained quite smoothly, and you made a relevant connection between your business and second life. Nice image as well. I didn't see any grammar errors, but I think the whole posting could have been split up into two paragraphs. 29/30 NK

Bio

My name is Jordan Maxon. I was raised in the backwoods and waters of Northwestern Wisconsin. From a very young age I developed a deep passion for the outdoors, always fishing, hunting, or just being outside. I enjoyed connecting with people who shared my passion and helping them enjoy it to levels that they never thought they could. I come from a very close knit family full of hard working individuals and entrepreneurs. I am a Marketing Management major with hopes of starting my own business someday.

Our History

At Maxon Adventures we combine our passion for the outdoors with tradition. Maxon Adventures began on a much smaller scale back in 1951. It originated when my grandfather began organizing hunting trips for his father and friends because he was too busy running a business of his own. In the early stages he did it because they all shared the passion until word of mouth began booming. Suddenly more and more people were asking for him to organize these trips for him, offering to pay him for his time. This was the single most monumental moment in the history of Maxon Adventures. In 1957 he started organizing hunting trips as a full fledged business. He gave it the name Maxon Hunts, this was fitting at that time because he only organized hunting trips but soon enough that would change. In 1968 business began to slow down, almost driving my grandfather to look for other employment. In 1973 after watching my grandfather struggle, my father suggested to incorporate fishing into the mix. After adding fishing into the concept, business began to soar again, landing the business in my father's hands in 1982. My father took the business to a whole new level, making connections around the nation to offer more of a variety. This only brought in more business, so when the business was turned over to me in 2011 I turned the company global.
